Syscob has been assisting exporters since 1995 by providing an agency service to obtain their electronic clearances from both the Australian Customs Service [ACS] and the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service [AQIS]. These “electronic clearances” are the Export Declaration Number [EDN] from ACS and the Export Permit Number [EPN] obtained via a Request for Permit [RFP].
Syscob extended the agency service to include the Pre Receival Advice [PRA] for either 1-Stop or DP World when EDI for these documents, which replaced the paper ERA, became available in mid-2004. And when electronic Forwarding Instructions [FI] became available Syscob offered them to their agency clients as well.
Syscob Pty Ltd provide can on-site support for clients that are unable (or unwilling) to have an inhouse user, administrator, or IT staff member configure and set up Export-It or Export-It Plus on a workstation or Local Area Network [LAN]. Syscob applications are designed to be installed, maintained and updated by the user. And numerous "Handy Guide" documents are available with step-by-step instructions for performing virtually any necessary task. Meaning that onsite installation and maintenance support is usually not necessary, but is available to customers that require assistance.
Onsite training can also be provided for Export-It (in most cases this is not really needed) for clients that are not comfortable following the User Guide to learn how to use the system. However, due to the low cost of the application and its ease of use, training for the application is not included in the price of the software. The Export-It Plus application, due to its additional complexity and higher price, does include an allowance (which varies with version purchased) for on site training, but additional training can also be arranged.
Syscob can provide training, if required, for both Export-It and Export-It Plus. In the case of Export-It training is not normally required. We have assisted some clients on the telephone with some information to provide a "kick-start", but the user-friendly menu system is easy to follow and generally does not call for special training in use of the system. For Export-It Plus training is included in the purchase price. Up to 12 hours is included, depending on the version you have purchased.
